Latin Imperative Verbs
Latin Imperative Verbs Ordinarily, the basic state of mind is utilized for direct (orders): DormiGo to rest! English revamps the word request of the revelatory sentence, if its vital, and replaces the period with a shout point. The Latin basic is framed by evacuating the - re consummation of the current infinitive: dormire without the - re is dormi. When requesting at least two individuals, add - te to the particular goal. When advising more than one individual to rest, you state: DormiteSleep! For the plural basic of third conjugation action words, the e before the dropped re is changed to an I. Consequently, the plural basic of mittere to send is: mittiteSend! be that as it may, the particular basic is: mitteSend! There are some sporadic or unpredictable appearing goals, particularly on account of sporadic action words. The basic of ferre to convey is ferre short the - re finishing, as anticipated: ferCarry! in the particular and FerteCarry! in the plural. The basic of the action word nolo is utilized to shape negative orders. To state dont in Latin, you normally utilize the basic of nolo with the infinitive of the other verb.Noli me tangere.Dont contact me! Present Imperative of Nolo Particular: noliPlural: nolite More On the Negative Imperative You can likewise utilize different developments. For example, for the restrictive basic dont rush you would state ne festina. More Imperatives There are additionally less regular aloof and future objectives. For the action word to adore amare, the detached basic particular is amare and the aloof basic plural is amamini. Both latent goals interpret as be adored. For deponent action words (action words that are detached in structure and dynamic in importance), the basic is inactive in spite of the fact that the significance is dynamic. The future goals for amare are amato, in the particular, and amatote, in the plural. This isnt a structure we separate in English. It could be said, English objectives are future goals in light of the fact that the individual providing the request is asking that something be done in the close or inaccessible future. Token Remember! is the future basic of the action word memini to recollect. Esto be is another moderately regular Latin future objective. Its plural is, as anticipated, estote.

View Message LinkedIns New Frustrating Email Functionality
View Message LinkedIns New Frustrating Email Functionality Today I opened up my inbox and saw I had a message from a LinkedIn contact. âMaybe heâs interested in my services!â I thought. Of course, I couldnât tell what he had written, because all the subject line said was, âJohn sent you a new message.â And all the body of the email had was a line saying âYou have 1 new messageâ â" along with Johnâs head shot and partial headline. I had to click âView Messageâ to find out what the heck this guy wanted to talk about. I was already angry by the time I clicked âView Messageâ to be brought to the LinkedIn website. And when I got there, I discovered that his message said ⦠ready for this? â¦. âThanks.â Yep, I had wished John a happy birthday and he was thanking me. That was it. If I had been able to see this message in my email inbox, all would be well. I could have deleted it and someday gotten around to replying to John with a thumbs up â" or not. But as of about a month ago, LinkedIn is forcing us to go to their website to read our mail. Strangely, I havenât found anyone talking about this on the interwebs. Am I the only person who doesnât like this change? I mean, I donât usually write rants in my weekly blog, but this new messaging functionality is not working for me. Hereâs What I Donât Like: I have to click on a message and go to LinkedIn without knowing whether I want to read the message. Itâs often a waste of time. Flagging messages for follow-up has become less integrated. I can flag the message in my inbox, but when I want to follow up, I need to go to the LinkedIn platform to remind myself what the conversation was. LinkedIn seems to be pushing people to subscribe to LinkedIn Premium in order to have their messages seen. The thing is, if someone sends me an inMail, I can view the entire message. So Iâm encouraged to send inMails, which are only available through LinkedIn Premium, instead of sending regular messages which canât be read from peopleâs inboxes. I find myself not wanting to click, not wanting to go to LinkedIn. Since itâs my job, I do it. But what about the people receiving my messages? Will they open them? Iâm afraid fewer and fewer of my non-inMail communications will be read as people get tired of blindly clicking on âView Message.â LinkedIn didnât send any notification that I know of to their subscribers letting us know about this change. For a while after the Microsoft merger, communications from LinkedIn seemed to have gotten better. They were announcing changes before they happened! Recently, however, there have been no announcements, no notifications. I donât like being in the dark, especially as someone whose job it is to advise people about changes in the LinkedIn platform. Take Action Am I alone here? Anyone else who is peeved by this change? Or has the collective LinkedIn community thrown its hands up in the air on this one? In the past, when enough people have complained about a change, LinkedIn has reverted back to the preferred functionality. Perhaps we can change the way our emails are appearing? If youâre behind me, please let LinkedIn (and others) know! Hereâs How to Send Feedback to LinkedIn To send your feedback to LinkedIn, visit LinkedIn Help at https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/solve/feedback and suggest they improve this feature. You could write something like this: Area of Feedback: Message Notifications Your Question: LinkedIn, please change the message notifications back to the way they were. I would like to see full messages from my connections in my email inbox again. I dont want to have to click through to my LinkedIn account to view their message. Thank you! Sexual Suicide by Honeybees
The male honeybee, called a drone, exists for one reason and one reason only: to mate with aà virgin queen. He is entirely expendable after he provides this service to the colony. The drone takes his mission seriously, however, andà gives his life for the cause.à How Honeybees Do the Deed Honeybee sex occurs in mid-air when the queen flies out in search of mates, her one and only nuptial flight. Drones compete for the chance to mate with their queen, swarming around her as she flies. Eventually, a brave drone will make his move. As the drone grasps the queen, he everts his endophallusà using a contraction of his abdominal muscles and hemostatic pressureà and inserts it tightly into the queens reproductive tract. He immediately ejaculates with such explosive force that the tip of his endophallusà is left behind inside the queen and his abdomen ruptures. The drone falls to the ground, where he dies soon after. The next drone removes the previous drones endophallus and inserts his, mates, and then dies as well.à à Queen Bees Really Get Around During her one nuptial flight, the queen will mate with a dozen or more partners, leaving a trail of dead drones in her wake. Any drones that remain around the hive in the fall will be unceremoniouslyà driven from the colonyà before cold weather sets in.à Honeyà stores are simply too precious to waste on a sperm donor. The queen, on the other hand, will store theà sperm for use throughout her life. The queen can store 6 millionà sperm and keep them viable for up to seven years, with the potential of producing 1.7 million offspring during her lifetime, as she uses a few at a time to fertilize her eggs. Bee Egg Development In late winter, the queen then lays eggs in the cells of the hive, up to 1,000 in one day at the height of the season. The hive needs mature bees to be ready to go when flowers with pollen are emerging, but she will continue to lay eggs until fall. Worker bee eggs mature in about 21 days, drones in about 24 days (from unfertilized eggs), and other queens in about 16 days. The hive needs backup queens in case the queen dies, becomes incapable of laying eggs or is lost because a hive doesnt survive without one.à What Workers Do In contrast to the drones, female worker bees take on many jobs. They clean cells for eggs to be laid; feed larvae; construct the comb; guard the hive; and forage. They can lay an egg to become a drone if needed, but their eggs cant become workers or queens.

An At Home Recovery Center Before A Breast Implant Surgery...
Creating an At-Home Recovery Center Before a Breast Implant Surgery with Gummy Bear Implants Following a breast augmentation at Dr. G Cosmetic Surgery Center in Miami, patients need to remain sitting upright for a few days. Therefore, patients should consider creating their recovery area in the living room. A recliner makes a great alternative to a bed. If a patient must remain in her bedroom, she needs to place several pillows behind her back. Patients should not bend, which is why everything they need must be elevated on a table. Patients can use a side table, nightstand or TV tray to keep the items they need elevated and within easy reach. Items That Should Be Readily Available in the Recovery Area Facial tissues Baby wipes Paper towels Medications Beverages, including water Fruits and vegetables for snacking (ready to eat) Telephone/Cell phone and charger (already plugged in and placed on the table) Remote controls (extra batteries) 2 small garbage cans (one for garbage and the other in case of nausea that leads to vomiting) Extra pillows and throws Patients should purchase loose, oversized clothing that will not rub the chest area or put pressure on the breasts. Patients will not be permitted to raise their arms above their heads, therefore, patients need to choose tops that have buttons or zippers. Placing these clothing items on a raised surface (table or counter top) prior to the breast augmentation will prevent the need

Leadership Lessons from D-Day A Book Review Free Essays
For this book review, I chose Victory Principles: Leadership Lessons from D-Day by Leonard Kloeber, Jr., a retired army officer. This book is not only a mere history book but it also provides a lesson on leadership principles based on what was applied by the Allied leaders during those crucial moments that characterized D-Day (also known as Operation Overlord) from the planning stage to the actual execution of the operation which was a success and eventually led to the liberation of Europe from Nazi occupation. We will write a custom essay sample on Leadership Lessons from D-Day: A Book Review or any similar topic only for you Order Now The first part is more of a historical narrative.à The Kloeber narrates the important events that were considered the defining moments of D-Day which are organized into chapters.à The prelude in included to set the tone and help put the reader on the proper perspective in approaching the book and what it is all about. Each chapter mentioned important leaders during the operation, not just for trivia but describing what they did that made success possible.à These are leaders who were actually there with the men as they saw action. Such senior leaders were Brigadier General Norman Cota, assistant division commander of the 29th Infantry Division which landed on Omaha Beach and received the brunt of the fighting. It also featured junior leaders such as Lieutenant Richard Winters, of Easy Company, 506th Regiment, 101st Airborne who led the company to neutralize an enemy gun emplacement menacing the beaches (Kloeber, Jr., 2009, pp. 61-62, 83).à What these leaders had in common was they made crucial decisions under fire but since they were in the thick of the action, they had a grasp of the situation and came up with crucial decisions that led to victory. Part Two provides an analysis as Kloeber spelled out what he called ââ¬Å"Victory Principlesâ⬠which were applied by the above-mentioned leaders which were key to the success of D-Day. One example of these principles was resilience which was demonstrated by Generals Cota and Roosevelt when their men were under fire. They did not panic and maintained their composure which was the glue that kept the men together even though they were taking casualties (Kloeber, Jr, 2009, pp. 208-209). Another principle discussed was making timely decisions as applied by Lieutenant Winters when he and his men carried out their mission which was successful (Kloeber, Jr, 2009, p. 186).à It can be seen that the author did a great job organizing his ideas by telling the story first and discussing the relevant principles.à He was able to establish a connection between the two parts. Part Three is what military leaders call the ââ¬Å"Staff Rideâ⬠where military students would tour the battlefield to get a feel of what has happened though not necessarily during actual combat as part of applying the lessons learned in the classroom. The purpose here is to immerse them ââ¬Å"spirituallyâ⬠and by making them picture themselves being there and it is proven to be an effective method when understanding the principles.à An appendix is added which provides supplemental details on D-Day. Overall, Kloeberââ¬â¢s book is not only for history students but also those who wish to be enlightened on leadership principles and the author has done a good job identifying them and showing how they were applied as well as mentioning their applicability in any kind of situation which need not be about combat. TSLF and TALF Facilities in the United States
TALF is a bank facility that was created on 25 of November 2008 by United States Federal Reserve Bank of New York (FRBNY). This program was created to offer support in issuing asset-backed-securities (ABS) where the collaterals are for example loans for students, loans with Small-Business-Administration (SBA) guarantee, loans for credit cards and also auto loans.Advertising We will write a custom report sample on TSLF and TALF Facilities in the United States specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More The Federal Reserve Bank of New York (FRBNY) had originally planned to lend to a tune $200 billion but later increased the amount under this TALF program/facility to $1 trillion. The lending was to target certain people who are holders of loans, are AAA-rated and are also supported by the SBA for small amounts of loans meant for business and consumption. On the other hand, TSLF is a financial facility which is meant to offer the United States t reasury general collateral (GC). The general collateral (GC) is offered to the Federal Reserve Bank based in New York and in reiteration the treasury gets other programs which also have eligibility for collaterals. TSLFs main intention and purpose is to enable liquidity in the markets for the United States treasury and therefore improve on the performance of financial markets. TSLF is usually a facility for 28 days targeting the primary dealers based in New Yorkââ¬â¢s Federal Reserve Bank. The primary dealers have to bid in a competitive way in auctions which are singly priced and are held on weekly basis. The program-eligible collateral is pledged by the borrowers (Federal Reserve Bank of New York, pg.1). Contrary to the money under the TSLF financial facility the TALF monies do not usually come through the US treasury. To be in a position to lend money under the TSLF facility the Federal Reserve Bank of New York has to seek the legal approval from the legislature which is the h ouse of congress. This is because the monies under the facility are disbursed from the United States treasury. On the other hand, under TALF facility no congressional approval is required to undertake the program since it emanates from the bank itself. The agreement under TSLF is basically security for other securities or security-security and therefore does not impact on the level of reserves for the Federal Reserve Bank while TALF facility affects the reserve levels in the bank. Under the TSLF, the Federal Reserve determines the collateral eligibility criteria. As the situation is today, collateral is determined by the eligibility to purchase again the tri-party agreements. Agreements for tri-party are only arranged through the trading desk on open markets and other kinds of assets, mortgage, municipal and corporate securities. The Federal Reserve closed the extension of new loans in line with securities backed by mortgage under TALF facility on 30th June 2010 and on March 31 2010 closed extensions on other types of securities backed loans (Federal Reserve Bank of New York, pg.1).Advertising Looking for report on business economics? Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More The objective TALF which was created in 2008 by the Federal Reserve Bank and consequently began operations in March 2009 was to help participants and other operators undertaking business ventures to be in a position to meet the needs for credit in doing business, credit required for their household needs and also for others to be able to own small scale businesses. On the other hand, the intention behind the TSLF facility which was created also in March 2008 was for enhancement of liquidity in the United States treasury. It was also meant to promote liquidity in other operating collateral markets. The liquidity was to enable the financial markets to become more vibrant generally. TSLF Options Program (TOP) was created by the bank in July 200 8 and consequently suspended in October 2009 as the bank introduced another option of borrowing the securities from treasury for a short duration of time and in specific dates. This kind of borrowing was supposed to follow a certain collateral eligibility criteria. Though they had own challenges in creation and subsequent implementation TSLF and TALF transformed the United States financial markets as compared to the traditional monetary policy tools like increasing and decreasing bank interest rates to ensure certain levels of liquidity or use of open market operations (International Business Publications, pp.1-15).
